German Shepherds are active working dogs. Walks, reward-based learning, and activities that engage their attention belong in the daily plan. Their capacity to learn is a reason to make time for teaching, rather than expect them to work everything out alone.
Company and coat care
They often form a strong bond with their household. Think about how company, rest, and gradual introductions will fit around work and other commitments. The double coat needs regular brushing, with more attention during heavier seasonal shedding.
